The staff at Blackford are simply amazing. We actually had two consults done, one by UT veterinarian school and the other by Blackford and Dr. Hodshon. Both consults went very well but there was something extra special about Dr Hodshon. She was patient, compassionate and understanding. She took her time with us to explain and answer all our questions and eased our anxiety with her calming presence. You could easily tell that she loves her job and her patients. �
Sweety, our 70 lb Pit, had a torn minuscus and a torn acl. They repaired both and she came home that evening. That was in July. 3 months later and she is walking great and soon to be running. That staff is excellent and caring and takes their time to give you information and instructions and spend time with your pet to get them to trust them.
Everyone is very professional, helpful, and kind. The after-surgery care information and directions are well organized and clear. Although I dread thoughts that our furry family members will need future surgeries, this is the hospital we'll choose.
Dr Blackford has operated on our chocolate lab Charlie on 3 separate occasions. She's kind, professional, and does amazing surgical work. Charlie wasn't born with the best knees in the world, but he'll be good as new after he heals from this procedure. Our deepest thanks to the staff at Blackford Veterinary and Surgery Referral!! We wouldn't go anywhere else!
I am still in awe of the talent, professionalism, kindness, and flat out best care I could have ever dreamed of for my Akita, Zena, when we were referred to Blackford for her surgery. The doctor's and the absolutely wonderful and AMAZING staff just blew me away from the very first moment we stepped into this fantastic facility. I cannot begin to thank them enough for everything they did for us by healing our girl.
Dr Blackford is wonderful a great loving and caring surgeon. She was able to repair my pugs front joints thanks to her she was able to save her legs. We are so grateful. It's been 5 days since surgery and she is doing great.
Dr. Hodshon went above and beyond for our little Joey Mac! What a wonderful Dr. she is!! Hopefully we will never have a reason to visit again, but if we do, we will definitely be seeing Dr. Hodshon, she is wonderful!!!
Listen...I tear up every time I mention my pups surgery and his vet team at Blackford Vet. I'm STILL in awe with the professionalism, the extreme attention to detail and the shear love this staff has for pet owners and their fur babies. I wish I received this level of care with my own medical care. I even got follow up calls about my baby, Monty ACL surgery. Heck, I got my ACL repaired and I never received this level of care. My dog had TPLO surgery and I was extremely grateful to the staff here. I was nervous and concerned about the surgery. They eased my fears and was absolutely wonderful with my dog. 8 weeks later and the follow up x-rays show she is completely healed! We had no complications from the surgery or during recovery. I was given everything I needed to ensure we did what we needed to during the past 8 weeks. I would recommend them to anyone.
