One of the most well-known restaurants on the Island, Blackbeards serves a diverse clientele, and for that reason it can get very busy during the tourism/spring break season. The menu contains a tempting mix of drinks (Strawberry Daiquiri, Rum Punch), sandwiches (Yellowfin Tuna, The Pearl - a fried oyster po' boy) and other seafood dishes (Ginger Teriyaki Tuna Steak, Stuffed Shrimp). This was, without a doubt, the best ahi tuna I've ever had. And I've eaten at some premiere seafood restaurants in the Eastern Seaboard.
Fresh and delicious! A little crowded at night but it's a good sign for a great resturaunt
So Jeff McNaughton and I had dinner at this place because last time we enjoyed our meals. So to start off I found a hair in my salad dressing. I was willing to over look that and just have them bring me a whole new salad....great. So my meal, while NOT cheap ($25), which consisted of a well done steak (very dry) not made very good but had good taste still and king crab legs.......awesome, right? NO! The catfish, Mahi Mahi, stuffed shrimp and a stuffed crab are DeLiCiOuS!!! The poorboys are humongous and filling, as a matter of fact the portions are so generous that you could share if you wanted to but it's so good that you don't lol. Our server was Isabel, she is fantastic! She made sure our drinks were always filled, provided extra plates, condiments and suggestions.
