Super fun experience! Kati, Jeff, and the dogs were great hosts, the ride was awesome, and the puppies were adorable!
Our afternoon hike at Black Spruce Dog Sledding was the experience of a lifetime. Jeff and KatieJo were incredible and we ARE IN LOVE with their dogs. It was hard to leave George behind. Do not miss this opportunity- unquestionably the best sled dog experience in Alaska.
My family loved this so much. Katti and Jeff were warm and welcoming. We learned a lot about sledding and Alaskan Huskies. Beautiful location and the dogs were of course the highlight. They can be LOUD! I especially liked being hands on and participating in the harnessing of the dogs and getting dog kisses and hugs. A must-do if you are in the Fairbanks area. They even recommended a great breakfast place! Thank you for quite an experience!!
What an incredible experience! Katie and Jeff were so welcoming and provided a night my whole family will always remember. My wife and I, our 4 children (age 8-14) and my parents all had an amazing time. Jeff and Katie answered all questions thoroughly and so everyone could understand. We got plenty of puppy time and the we all got to learn to harness and hook up the dogs ourselves. The dogs are friendly and such hard workers! We were hopping all over Alaska and really only came to Fairbanks for this. It was well worth the t... read more
KattiJo and Jeff were absolutely wonderful hosts and guides. We were able to ask a million questions and they answered each one with general info as well as their own experiences. It was relaxed and we got to interact with the dogs a lot. They were all friendly and eager for a pat and a kiss. Both the dogs and kattiJo and Jeff were excited to get on the trails. The enthusiasm is worth seeing and hearing. (Dogs are very vocal) We were able to participate in harnessing and watering the dogs which made a feel included and not j... read more
This was an amazing trip for my 13 year old daughter and myself. Lindsey guided us through the entire tour and the best part was interacting with the Alaskan Huskies. These are the most loving, sweet and charismatic dogs. I wish we could have stayed there all day. The dog sled ride was exhilarating and the views were priceless. This is an etched memory of a lifetime. Truly priceless!!
It is an awesome place. Lindsey and Riley are very professional and easy to get along with. The huskies are very cute, at the same time very friendly. The view is gorgeous, you can see snow mountain, woods, valley etc. And they can also provide you with clothing to keep you 120% warm. Anyway it is an amazing experience.
Riley at Black Spruce was absolutely incredible! He made us want to move to Alaska and get sled dogs! Seriously made our vacation the best ever! Thanks Black Spruce and Riley! We will be back!!!!!
