Black Kite Coffee is an independent, locally owned coffee house that specializes in delicious coffees, teas, and savory pies. We make all of our food in house, completely from scratch, and we do our best to fulfill the foodie in all of us. Serving the Old West End and outlying Toledo community since 2012, we seek to revitalize the neighborhood meeting spot, where friends and neighbors can get together and know they will experience our best, every time.

The coffee was great however I would advise their staff to check & double check whether an item is truly vegan or not before they serve it. I expected the woman serving me to know when I specifically told her that I was vegan that I really meant that I did not eat MEAT when I ordered the veggie pie. She served it to me and I bit into a MEAT pie. Especially after cutting into it I went back to double check because it looked off and she unwillingly assured me that she had given me the correct one. Umm nope it had MEAT in it!

It was my first time there and I definitely will be going back! It has a feel-good atmosphere! Everyone there was also very friendly.
I love it here!!!! I have lived in Toledo for 4 years and just recently discovered Black Kite Coffee, and I am so glad that I did!!! The baristas are top notch, the bagel balls (I think that's what they are called!!) are delicious and whenever you are in the mood for an Italian soda this is where you go!!! Everyone there is so friendly, they have gender neutral bathrooms and the best local literature always available!!! By the way, the vanilla latte I had yesterday was DIVINE!!!

Black kite is one of the best kept secrets. Its in the old west end. They have a great coffee and tea selection, the breakfast balls are great and of course holey toledo donuts. The staff is wonderful!
