Always a nice experience. Baristas are friendly, regulars were chatting away and the over all feel is cozy. Good place to get some home work done or meet a friend. Only down side I see is the WiFi (somewhat slow and unavailable on weekends)but I know it’s like that and still choose to go so that’s more on me than them.
The Black Dog Cafe is, in my opinion, one of the most delightful places I've visited in a long time. I travel many places looking for just the right place to eat and have a cup of good, no great, coffee and the Black Dog fills that bill for me. I also want to say that the two owners Ernie and Lisa are some of the nice's people you'll ever meet. The Food is to die for and the Coffee gets 5 stars...
I love this place! It has the perfect ambiance, indoor and out; and friendly service combined with great coffee at a fair price.
Love several things! Warm and cozy ambience on Lake Ella. Woman owned for the past 20 years.. Trained and friendly baristas, Charity friendly, local supporter, great coffee and baked goods. Whats not to love? :)
While at FSU, I was at the Cafe with my daughter nearly every weekend and many evenings, studying or reading; enjoying it all. Food, service and atmosphere can't be beat. My daughter learned to play chess there at age 5, with a boy about her age. She's now 25. Since moving from Leon County I don't get there too often, but will always go out of my way to stop there. P.S. Bring back my favorite, your CHEESEBOARD!
I love the comfortable ambiance and find it a peaceful interesting coffee house with space for all ages and good treats. It's on Lake Ella which is so pretty. The bulletin board has good information on it also.
