My family and I celebrated my Birthday at the Hotel last night. My husband had called and said it would be my birthday and we were given a lovely table on the water. The service and food were wonderful. Before dinner we had drinks at the bar with pictures of the Royal Family on the wall since this Inn had been loyal to the crown hundred of years ago. A lovely place for all occasions.
If I could give this place 20 stars, I would. We've been here several times, and we have never been disappointed. The menu is outstanding, great service, friendly staff, and a fabulous wine list. This gorgeous, old historic building is just the right setting for any dining experience.
Went for the champagne brunch. Enjoyed the ambiance, and the view, the service and the food was first rate. Crab cake was wonderful as was the pumpkin/pecan dessert.
We stopped for a beer and an appetizer for a break from our bike ride along the D&R canal. Sunday is a very busy brunch day, so we decided to sit in the bar, since we didn't want a full 4 course meal. The bar tender was very accomodating, and allowed us to order a la carte. The appetizers were small, due to being part of the pre-fix menu, and a bit pricey. The beer was good, and it was a nice break from the bike ride.
Last minute Friday night getaway, very fortunate they had a room available. Relaxing, romantic, and just the escape we needed from life, for a day. Great food, pleasant staff and a nice path along the river for running or walking in the morning. We will be back. �
