My new bride and I have made the Black Bass a tradition for our anniversary ever since we began dating. The rooms, meals, tavern/pub, and amazing river views make this spot a favorite treat! Would recommend for anyone.
My wife and I were there for lunch to celebrate our anniversary and it could not have been any better. The warm and inviting dining room with a beautiful view of the river was matched by the courtesy service and delicious food. She had the Cream of Roasted Root Vegetable Soup and I had the Red Bean and Andouille Sausage soup to start. Both were so flavorful and beautifully presented. A beautiful and comfortable place with an excellent restaurant! We had a wonderful time staying at The Blavk Bass Hotel!
The Brunch was not what I expected, service was just ok and the food was mediocre. I will give dinner a try !!
We visit The Black Bass fairly often and since yesterday was so gorgeous we took a ride in the convertible and headed there for a late lunch. We had a great time as always. My only complaint was my Tilefish selection. The fish was very dry and the sauce was a little too thick and rich. It was disappointing but not tragic. I think for this fish dish a more brothy type sauce makes more sense. I will go back for sure but I will choose something else. Our server and everyone else were lovely.
