The Food, The Lovely View, The Management, The Employees, The Customers, The Valet Service...EXCEPTIONAL! It is worth the long journey and highly recommends.
We had a fabulous meal. I had salmon which was perfectly done. My husband had filet mignon and loved it. The chocolate cake with marshmallow ice cream was wonderful! The staff was attentive and friendly. We stayed in the Suite Lorraine and loved sitting in front of the two story window watching the fast moving river. This morning, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast in the Lumberville store, which is a short walk across the street. We feel absolutely comfortable here and hope to be back soon.
We got sat about a 1/2 hour later then our reservations, but everyone was very nice. We were there for their Sunday champagne brunch. We had the private dining room, which was very nice, with awesome view of river. The food was variable, but mostly good, ie. Eggs cooked wrong. They were very busy, & each serving took a long time to be served- so it took a long time to complete our 4 course fixed prix meal, but none of us were in a hurry. RecommendedThank you for your attention to detail, the quality service of Carlina and the outstanding food. I organized a surprise 70th birthday party for my husband in the Canal room. The large table was set with candles and fresh flowers. Our waitress, Carlina, could not have been more accommodating. She worked with me as to timing of seating, opening of gifts and even packing to-go bags. The setting, with access to the deck and fireplaces, is just perfect! Thank you for a memorable birthday celebration!
VERY DISAPPOINTED! Appetizer forgotten, but then delivered and charged after meal delivered. Only 2 tables, including ours. Fish and Chips were stringy, bones and chewy meat. Yuk! Excited to show off area historical to visitors - light dinner at the Tavern - way more expensive than the General Store - which was fabulous meal and environment!
Horrible, horrible, horrible! Don't waste your money.
Food is delicious the views are spectacular and very quiet and surreal!!!
