My mom and I both enjoyed the vegetable plate which was just delicious. We had collard greens which were perfectly seasoned and so tender; squash casserole which was so delicious.... not all covered up in stuff. The squash was fresh, flavorful with just the right touches of onion, cheese, and crunchy bread crumbs; black-eyed peas that were also seasoned just right. Always Excellent! Great service. Food was outstanding!
Both the lunch and dinner menus are excellent. The lunch menu offers a slighty upscale atmosphere and delicious soups, salad, and sandwiches with reasonable prices. Dinner is delicious. Recommend the tomato stack for an appetizer and the shrimp and grits are some of the best I've had. Great spot for a nice date night dinner or a meal with colleagues.
I like their food, but last weekend I was there for the fifth time - the service has been poor at every visit.
