You could pay me to eat here. – A disappointment through and through -- hugely overpriced for bland food and severly mediocre service. I'd possibly return if paid.
Warm lively atmosphere – Bistro 7 is a "must" stop for us when we return to Philly. The ambience in this little restuarant is warm and lively with friendly helpful service. But the food is the drawing caard for us. We've been there several times and have always been delighted with the changing menu. We're expecially fond of the sampler plates that are sometime offered. When you visit make sure to save room for dessert. Hard to pick a favorite there! We leave feeling that we've gotten a great value. I guess the highest endors... read more
Fantastic Food – Bistro 7 is a unpretentious and low key restaurant that offers ever changing menu options. The food is always fantastic. My wife and I have been there several times for dinner (both for romantic dinners alone and with friends) and always try something new. The service is attentive and friendly. The desserts are amazing!
What a Treat – Once you try this place, you'll realize you need to come back and try everything on the menu. The food is great, and the service is very friendly without being intrusive. Treat yourself to a great night at Bistro7, you won't regret it!!
Unbelievably Good Food – My only regret about Bistro 7 is that I don't get there more often! Salads are a definate must, and the gnocci is literally one of the best meals I have ever had. Desserts are always the perfect ending to a great meal and friendly service. LOVE IT!
Haven't been disappointed yet – I became aware of Bistro 7 through a friend who insisted I go there with her a few months ago. I have since become a regular. It is truly refreshing dining experience in Olde City because the kitchen and floor staffs are more interested in serving up great food and service than dishing out "attitude" and "a scene". I have not been disappointed in my nearly dozen trips there - and I have had everything from a roasted chicken to skate to scallops to lamb potpie. The menu is as fresh as the ingre... read more
Kind but slow service of okay to wretched food. – Last weekend my boyfriend and I went to Bistro 7 for dinner thinking that a 5:30 reservation would leave us plenty of time to attend an 8:00 symphony performance. Little did we know what sort of horrible and unsatisfying 3 hour ordeal lay before us. We started with appetizers. I had the gnocchi that the restaurant is known for and my boyfriend had the wild mushroom crespelle. His was admittedly tasty while the gnocchi left much to be desired. The butternut squash was well sea... read more
A fresh, jewel-box B.Y.O.B. with new American food--and, more often than not, a full house. – In Short An oasis within whispering distance of some of Philly's most boisterous bars, this 45-seat bistro attracts couples out for a date night, groups going to the nearby Arden Theatre--and, yes, some partyers headed to those bars. Chef-owner Michael O'Halloran presides over the open kitchen overlooking the cozy dining room. The selection dips into the international, with complex French soup, buttery Italian gnocchi, Spanish-inspi... read more
AMAZING FOOD! – I love this restaurant! the food is great and the service is attentive and consistent. During the week expect to have a nice long leisurely meal and on the weekends expect a great crowd but the host is always able to squeeze you in. You can also sit at the bar and watch the chef and kitchen staff work- This place is a great date place, good for post-theatre, a great place to take family and friends. Try the gnocchi!
