My husband recently had to take our 18 year kitty to Birchwood to have her put to sleep. They were very kind. When the time is right and we get another fur baby, we will definitely go to Birchwood.
Dr. Murphy and his staff are wonderful. Knowledgeable, caring and compassionate! A very clean facility. I highly recommend BVH.
Being new to Lexington I was in need of a vet for my 7 yr old dog. The office was clean and the office staff was very professional. Dr. Murphy was excellent and spoke to us about everything we needed to know for our dog's well being. Will refer this office to all my friends.
Love this place!! Staff are very nice! I never have to wait long or get put on hold (rarely!). The Dr is informative, caring & just overall great!!

I have 5 small Papillons who are new patients. I had the same vet for 20+ years before I moved here and felt her shoes would be hard to fill but when I found Dr. Murphy and staff, I felt very comfortable. They are caring, considerate and have been very thorough with my girls. I much prefer a one vet practice, drive by 4 vets to get there and am completely satisfied with the care given to my girls by Dr. Murphy and his staff. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.
Dr Murphy and the staff are the best. Doc is a gentle compassionate human being along with being a great doctor. I took my 17 year old Himalayan kitty to him today as he was so matted, as very old cats often are, and I did not want to stress him out by trying to remove the mats myself.He gently worked on him and got majority of the mats off inch by inch with tender care. I would never think of going to another doctor. Birchwwood Veterinary Hospital is the best.
