We were in the brew pub, the food and beers were excellent. We had 2 kids and the 3 families around us had kids as well. I highly recommend having the kids menu available in the dining room and downstairs pub. That would have made our visit perfect. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy the last warm Sunday of the season!
Burt and Ashley have reinvigorated Long Lake. Building on the memories generated years ago at Billy's Lighthouse, Birch's combines a fresh menu, craft beer and a fabulous setting.
Awesome set up. Best water view for any restaurant locally. Food was great. Nice to see the old Billys resurrected and replaced with Birch's which is well on it's way to having it's own legacy. Huge fan...
I'm a huge fan of Birch's go pretty much every chance I get. Whether you're there for a gourmet four-course meal or just fresh oysters and a glass of wine at the bar, there's great variety on the menu and the food never disappoints. Service is very kind and professional and the restaurant is SPOTLESS. You know with attention to detail like this Birch's cares about your dining experience. Can't wait to try the new location and brew pub!
My wife and I went to Birches for the first time on Valentine's day. The service was outstanding and the food was incredible. We will definitely be visiting Birches on a regular basis in the future.
One of the best restaurants in the Twin Cities! The food was superb, and the staff even better. My new favorite place to take my friends when I'm in town.
I would love to give 5 stars as the food is outstanding. In the times I have been there the service has been inconsistent and I have had to wait as long as 30 minutes beyond my reservation time to get sat without so much as a comped cocktails for waiting. If you want to run with the big dogs you are going to need to up your service to match that of 112, Sanctuary Murray's etc...

Hi Tim , I am sorry to hear about your disappointment at Birchs the other night. In response to your late seating , I try to seat people as quickly as I can. As you know we are a very small restaurant and sometimes it's out of my control how long someone sits for. With that said I am very sorry for you having to wait to be seated.
