We ended up at Birch & Barley by chance when Churchkey was packed and we are so glad we did! Our server, Jacob, was excellent and the food was just amazing. The chef sent us compliments in the form of crab cakes, cornbread, onion chips and a chickpea spread. We ordered the cauliflower, conchiglie bolognese, and the trio of gelato. Everything was great! Knowledgeable, personable staff and great food. We will be back if we find ourselves in DC again.
Great convivial atmosphere, great food, great service... the tasting menu was amazing! Couldn't ask for more... can't wait to go back.
Well, we went back and round 2 was stellar. I would be remiss to waive off our initial experience, but due to responsive management and Phil (our server) I would like to rave about our dining experience.
