I have donated several times and know the drill. Last donation(3 days ago) the guy put the needle in seemingly incorrectly and adjusted it 3 times, which was very, very painful. Usually after they insert it, the pain stops. However this time it was hurting very badly the entire time, like the needle was not situated. Shortly after, my machine at first said “no flow” and then “high pressure return” meaning the blood was not able to be pumped back into my arm. I have never had a problem before. Some of the staff is great and some obviously hate their jobs when I’ve came at 5:50 ish multiple times and have watched others walk in at 6:00 but they deferred me even though I was checked in at 5:50 and had my questions answered and everything when I seen other patients go in later than me on other days and this is the only time I can schedule because I get off work at 4:30 in Cullman never had any problems with any other plasma center except
Rules should follow for the weekend and the weekdays when you do a walk in too donate. If doors close at 6:00pm on the weekday and weekend it close at 3:00pm. It was told if you make before those times your able too donate. Now if rules changed they need let everyone know the rules. Even when it's packed I have saw the center still let people come though too screening and donate it doesn't matter how packed it is until the center is close at 3:00pm on the weekend and 6:00pm on the weekdays
Drove 40 mins to my second donation, the guy at the front desk accused me of smoking and told me to come back another day. I don’t smoke or do any drugs! Apparently they just judge you and turn you down on how you look. They didn’t even test my vitals. Ive been donating for years at different places and have never experienced anything like that. Boggled my mind.
Some awesome people here.... worth every minute to stop in and donate
