I have been going to Billingsley's since I moved to the Westside about 12 years ago. What's not to like? Great servers, charming old school ambiance, generous portions and reasonable prices. When I heard that they were closed and their future was uncertain, I was genuinely dismayed - this place has been a neighborhood landmark when I was just a gleam in my daddy's eye - and then I heard that there were new owners. BIllingsley's has reopened. My husband and I had dinner there on Wednesday. Same menu, hours, staff, chef and bartenders. Under new management and making positive changes for the future. Happy to see it back.
It's back open! Old school Westside steakhouse - not pretentious or uppity. Great food at fair prices. Excellent early bird specials too. Happy to see it reopen - 2016 is off to a great start!
Mysteriously closed since approx. Thanksgiving 2015. Sign on door says temporarily closed through the holidays.. It's now 20Jan 2016. Still no phone answer, no appearance of still being in business. The assumed (hopefully not) loss of this iconic Westside restaurant would be very sad. Lots of tradition here, lots of great dinners over the past @50yrs.. Sure do hope to see them back soon!
