The entire bar and restaurant is designed in dark, elegant wood with very stylish and comfortable furniture, chairs and booths--even the requisite fireplace--giving it a private club-like feeling. Beautiful multi-hued granite is used for the table tops and the bar, highlighting the overall design. The owner, Brett Anderson, (a lawyer, but we won't hold that against him) has done an excellent job of designing and furnishing the restaurant and has obviously spared no expense. Lots of great food for the price. The waiter refilled my drink without me even asking too! We will definitely be back!
Well worth the hour wait! Very friendly staff, outstanding food, short wait on food. Would like to see cloth tablecloths, not the vinyls. Definitely need a bigger venue but the ambiance is nice.
Overpriced food and decor stuck in the last century. But that wasn't the worst. We had a very negative experience with rude staff. I've never been treated like that before. Still shaking my head.
The food was excellent! My husband enjoyed his 12 oz bone in pork chop and I liked the tenderloin tips Dubois (sp?) with the rice. The atmosphere was relaxing and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be going back. I want to try the crime brulei next time.
The prime rib was excellent and the cheesy corn was amazing. Service was good and price isn't outrageous. I'd come back again if I'm ever back in Altoona, IA!
