We had the best service, the best food and the best time. We only get BBG once every couple of years or so... and it's always worth every visit!!!
I grew up in Decatur and every time I come home (or even get close) I have to stop by - I love this place!
DISAPPOINTED! We were seated and waitress says they are out of wings and brisket. So we place our order, I had so wanted brisket. Order pulled pork plate, beans were cold and the pulled pork was luke warm and dry. While eating we hear they are out of chicken all they have left is turkey.
My family went in to eat and it wasn't that crowded, but when we sat down we weren't served right away. Then to make it worse we wait for 15 mins more and we still didn't get served. Everyone who was serving were looking at us but doing nothing. My dad then went up to someone and asked if we're ever going to get served. They just said "Oh" nothing else, not even a sorry. This was horrible service!!!!!
I love this place i wish i could ce everyday pluse I love warm friendly people here they have become my family members
I just wanted to say thank you to Big Bob Gibson BBQ for working with the Red Cross here in flooded Baker, LA. Words fail to express the gratitude myself and my 87 year old mother have for the lunch delivered by the Red Cross that y'all made. A simple lunch with a profound impact. Thank you for your generosity and compassion. I promise if I or my mother and I make it to Alabama we will happily eat at Big Bob Gibson BBQ. Thank you and God bless y'all.
I'm telling you this place was great. I've not had much BBQ but hooked. And that white sauce, I'd eat that on shoe leather. I'm from IA so I've had great meat but it's smoked not BBQ

We've eaten here 3 times and every time it's been great. The portions are plentiful yet leave just enough room for their amazing slices of pie. I'm not a turkey eater so I can't speak to that but every other protein is great. Aside from the food, they also sell their rubs and sauces. Using their chicken/turkey rub makes sauce unnecessary (whether grilled or smoked.) Their steak and burger rub is phenomenal on steaks.
