Though it has streamlined aluminum and black-and-white tile, and the fare is inspired by diner cuisine, the ingredients are the freshest available and the dishes are prepared with care and imagination. Food was great and staff was very polite! Someone was always wanting to fill up our coffee. Worth the wait if you see a line!!

We are visiting Berkeley for our honeymoon and found Bette's by shear luck. First breakfast was excellent - Maryland Breakfast and Mexican Breakfast. I had a blueberry scone and a cappuccino - everything was so good. Day 2 we came back and had a Spicy Scramble and two eggs with bacon, home fries and toast.
