I was very disappointed with this resort. The new owners had their families over all the time hanging out on the beach when we went down to lay on the hammocks their family was using them. Our cabin we went to pull out the sleeper sofa and someone went to lay down springs started falling out. The bathroom you could open the window because if you did bugs would come into the cabin because the screen had a hole.
Hospitality and then some! We had one cabin and the other 5 were rented by a group (family, I believe). The owners went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and gave us free passes to Putt Putt. We always had a good time on the beach and even got to use the owners boats at no charge! Our cabins were very clean and updated. We looked at 4 others before choosing this resort. We have already booked a week August 7th again next year and they gave us a discount for returning as a previous guest! We are bringing OUR... read more
Wow! That is all I can say about Better Days Lakeshore Resort! My family just spend a wonderful week there and couldnt have had more fun. The owners are so friendly and fun and accommodated every little request we had, which were quite a few! The beachfront is clean and well kept, the cabins were cozy and cute, we will definitely be back next year. We found our new home in Houghton Lake!!
Beautiful place, the lake was gorgeous, the weather was just as nice, and the cabins were clean. My daughter spent all week playing with the little girl who lives there, I caught some nice fish, and my wife got to lay around in the sun

I am abosultely thrilled that after a couple years of hopping between resorts and rental homes, weve finally found a resort that meets all of our criteria and exceeds our expectations. Weve stayed at Better Days three times in the past two years (twice this year) and I cant wait to go back. Some things that make it special for us are 1) being able to bring up our boat and tie write to the dock and left there overnight (you wont find that at too many other places) 2) I can run an extension cord from our cabin to my docked boa... read more

Bonnie, Kevin, Layla,Sharon, Shadow, GiGi and I really enjoyed our stay at Better Days. Fine weather, water and friendship! It was so nice to chill out by the water and go sailing. GiGi and Shadow sure enjoyed chasing the tennis ball in the water. Layla sure kept them both busy.
