My Granddaughter wanted to stay in her school district so Cumberland County CYS wrongfully took her from me although the Judge had ordered her to stay in my home. I also have her Autistic brother. She started staying with her friends family to go to school. They were NOT approved to foster by Kidspeace, the father had a restraining order against him from 2009. I would not recommend working with Bethany Christian Services. While they present themselves as a religious and supportive organization, my experience was the opposite. They were responsive for a short time, but then stopped communicating and failed to return messages. They do not explain how their system works, leaving you without guidance or clarity. They hold all the power and use it, even when it doesn’t serve the best interests of the child.

The communication from agency workers is abysmal, disheartening, and so rare that I had to reach out to agency director to get answers to questions. And when I needed a change to profile, well I got blacklisted over disparaging and defamatory comments that had no basis for blacklisting me. My attorney is in the process of handling this aspect for me in federal courts.
