Get directionsMy wife went to BIDH ER. She was sent home after 8 hours at the ER. They did nothing to help her with her problem. No test nothing to find out what was wrong . She came home and suffered all night long. The next day she went to NW ER, they in turn gave her many tests and found out what was wrong with her. They also kept her overnight to make sure she was OK

Hi Dennis, we are sorry to hear that your experience did not live up to our high expectations of care. Our patient relations team can always be reached at patientrelations@bidneedham.org or at 781-453-6200.
I have used this hospital several times. In 2010 my mother had the wrong knee xrayed at 1am. The next day the administrator profusely apologized for her inconvenience. Thankfully it was not a damaging error, and they admitted it and did not charge medicare for their mistake. Since then I have had hernia surgery 2 years ago. I brought my brother to the ER after he was hit by the garage door on his head and had a mild concussion. Each time the staff was very professional and courteous. This weekend I needed a CT scan and arriv... read more
They don’t ask why you are coming to emergency room - just check you in without asking any non-Covid questions and they do not maintain 6 feet social distancing in the emergency room nor clean area when people leave seats. 45 minutes after waiting finally came over to obtain registration information in the public waiting room and still did not ask why we were there. Another 10 minutes and taken to a hallway bed so no one can go in with the patient.

Cannot recommend I am afraid. I completely agree you need to test admitted patients for COVID. However, charging $300 for the test is shocking and unconscionable, when tests are readily available everywhere else for less than half the price. Price gouging at this level, when you essentially have your patients captive and with no other choices should not be permitted. Do explore your options carefully before deciding where to have your surgery - you do have alternatives, quite possible ones that see you as a human being tryin... read more

Last November/December my aunt was in ICU. It wasn't until she was transferred to an acute care center that I realized that she had been given Haldol. She shook all over, had abnormal eye movements, and was unable to speak coherently. This hospital gave my elderly aunt with multiple health issues this dangerous drug despite CLEAR contraindications. She left this hospital worse off than when she was admitted. She died on January 4th.
I had surgery yesterday at BI in NEEDHAM and I can’t say enough about the staff! From the time they met me at the door to being discharged, they were wonderful. The surgical nurses(Jamie), the nurse anesthetist, and the anesthesiologists were very kind and compassionate! No sickness after anesthesia, hurray, you did a great job! And Dr Boyd and team, great job also! Thank you all so much Rosemary Goudreau
