After over 9 years as a customer of Bertie Heating & Air, they get my lowest rating. My recent experience was deeply negative, and I strongly caution anyone considering this company. Background In 2015, Bertie installed a new Trane system, sealing the existing ductwork and adding a supply/return line. I also purchased their Preventative Maintenance Agreement at $280/yr, w/ no significant issues reported during inspections. Over 9 years ago Mr. ******** contacted us to replace his HVAC system on his 35 year old home, at the time we inspected the ductwork and determined it needed to be replaced, Mr. ******** opted for mastic sealing the ductwork for the time being which we did. More so recently we went to perform the preventative maintenance on his HVAC system which we have been doing since 2016, a few days after our visit he reported to us that he noticed growth near his sky light and ceiling. We bought a new AC unit 3 years ago. Since then, a new issue arises every other month. I asked for a call from Bertie to try and work it out, but no one called. I just wasted money so we can constantly check the AC, and were told we may need some equipment that wasn't even installed. So now our baseboard is damaged, we daily have to clean the pump.
