Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Hubby and I ate here today for our anniversary. On prior anniversaries, we went to that "other" steakhouse, Charley's. Honestly, it's not even a comparison. Every last thing at Berns was outstanding. From the french onion soup, to the delmonico steak, to the dessert room, there is not a single thing that could have been better. Our service was impeccable. I mean, really, I will never even consider going to Charley's ever again. Cannot say enough about how great of an experience we had!
Amazing atmosphere, great desserts and our server Louisa was the best!!!Sad that it's not handicap friendly but still amazing!
Had the most amazing experience at Bern's. Starting off with their tour of the kitchen, impressive wine cellar and the upstairs desert area. The service was top notch and the food was exquisite. Would definitely be going again when in the Tampa area. An experience everyone should have. Highly recommend.
Have heard about Bern's for over 15 years and this was the first time I've been. It's more an experience than just dinner. The food and service are amazing. Very pricey. You get a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar after dinner, plus you can get a reservation for the dessert room after that. It's amazing to see how the operation works.

Just had an outstanding birthday dinner at Bern's. I have lived in Tampa since 2009, and I have been to about every nice steak house here in town. This was my first experience of going to Bern's... And, it did not disappoint! This place is truly outstanding! First class service, first class food, first class environment! The only negative I can say about this, is the dining room was extremely loud. You could not have a conversation with the person sitting at your table. It's always an elegant, charming, decadent way to spend the evening with the girls for dessert in The Dessert Room. We've never been disappointed, it's become our "go to" place!
