Owner David Laxer carries on the tradition of excellence begun by his father Bern more than 40 years ago. Beef connoisseurs should make this restaurant first on their list of culinary stops. Known for its large selection of melt-in-your mouth aged beef, it is easy to see why it has won a wall full of awards. The “putting on the ritz” crowd have some 25 types of caviar to ponder and a wine cellar that pushed one half million bottles.

Absolutely the best experience, all the way around. Had high recommendations of Berns, and they did not disappoint. The steak practically melted in my mouth. Had a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. Then went upstairs for dessert. I will definitely be going back to Berns!! 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!!
wonderful classic steak house. amazing service, incredible wine selection and the food was of the absolute highest quality - exquisitely prepared and served. The after dinner tour of the kitchen and wine cellar was pretty impressive as was the Harry Waugh dessert room.
Paul our waiter was excellent. Very attentive and spoiled me with all my special requests. Had a table in the dessert room ready for us after the tour of the kitchen and wine cellar. Now as to the food, prepare to die and go to heaven. Outstanding quality, perfectly cooked. And the Lobster Bisque, no words can do it justice. Dessert room with Jessica was simply delightful.
Lee our waiter was awesome. The steak was perfection with all the wonderful sides. We also went on the kitchen and wine tour. So much fun. I would definately return.
Always an amazing experience. Matt was our waiter and made my 13 year old feel very special on her birthday! The food is always en pointe, the service stellar, nothing but props for Bern's. Always.
Crazy with the online system. Much better places in Tampa then this. Way overrated and the host are very unprofessional
Had dessert the other night, was fantastic! I noticed that the dessert servers are in polo shirts. Really? Please go back to formal attire! Also, I sincerely hope the dress code is strictly adhered to. I seen a few people putz in with t shirts and cargo shorts and the valet does not say anything!
My sister and I sat at the bar and had muddled vodka cucumber gimlets and steak sandwiches. Excellent and so was the service and atmosphere. What a fun experience!
Excellent service and food! I loved the tour after dinner and the dessert room was fabulous! Wow....What an experience!
