I've noticed how the school is built before the community, and then it gets overpopulated and half the community gets sent off to another school after spending thousands on a new home. where is the logic? is it in the same place the logic for common core is? makes NO SENSE. Seems a lot like a scheme for those higher up to benefit from. Be a shame if there was a plan before action.
Hanahan Elementary School is on a one way in one way out road something needs to be done to resolve this problem.
Berkeley county decided this year 2019 to take away number grades for our elementary kids and give them primary grading. Also where the kids are no longer taught as a class they are given basically a tutorial then learn on their own through the chrome book. Extremely disappointed with how downhill this district is going.

I always love the school district! They have taught me everything! Over 15,000 students in the Berkeley County have said that they hate it. for me, it's not. I continuously strive about my future and my graduation! No matter how hard it takes! the ONE thing that I "dislike" about this is that whenever they see people juul in the classrooms, they absolutely do NOTHING about it. Make this a bigger, better, and safer for me and everyone.
You say you will STAND IN for our teachers. How about STAND BESIDE our teachers. I will say in the 4 years we have had some amazing teachers. Many you can tell teach for the love of teaching, not for money. Their hearts are in it. But our school board has not only failed our teachers but have failed our children. So how about Stand beside them. Don't just try to make a change be the change.
Being supportive of parents, students AND teachers would be a great start. I personally went to BCSD and my son did also. Now his daughter, my grand daughter, is going there on my recommendation. Basically, things have not been the same as my son and myself remember it. It seems the school district is only worried about themselves and how THEY appear.
