We bought a used 2017 Yukon Denali XL at Berger. We were told that the Vehicle passed a 120 point inspection which includes that the tires and brakes have 1/2 life or better. Unfortunately after we purchased the vehicle, we brought the vehicle to our own mechanic who is a family member. We were told that it needed 2 new tires and they recommended to sell the vehicle ASAP because it is full of rust on the bottom! Berger never shared this information with us! Brought my 18 Trax to Berger service because they could get me in the same day my car broke down. Biggest mistake ever! They diagnosed it with a blown turbo even though there was a lifter knock also. They replaced the turbo then stated the whole engine was bad and they didn't realize it until after the turbo was on. TOWED my vehicle to another shop for a second opinion and they stated it's well documented that when the turbo goes on the 1.4L engines, it causes internal damage to the engine and my whole engine would need to b... read more
I bought a new chevy trail boss truck and never even sat in it before they smashed it in their lot. $5700 damage. The general manager blew me off and didn't return my calls for 3 days. He tried to blame it on me and told me he was "playing hardball" and I threw his people "under the bus". He was not helpful. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. BBB and ****, Berger Chevrolet followed all GM policies and procedures for GM Employees for this situation. We were not playing "hard ball" as described above. The customer was receiving GM Employee Discount on the vehicle lease. In instances like this, there are certain rules and guidelines in place by GM that must be followed. The only options were to 1) unwind the deal (refunding the customer of all out of pocket costs associated with the deal) or 2) customer can choose to keep the vehicle and wait for repairs to complete... read more
The service department is a complete joke. The quote they gave me to repair my car was outrageous. On top of that, they were unable to accomplish any repairs that day, but still had the nerve to charge me before they would give me my keys back. Could not have been a worse experience. I would never trust them with my vehicle again. Steve, the manager, never once apologized for his teams inability to complete any repairs.
