Failed to communicate developing issues also failed to act on them. Worst ever. Now have completely blocked carotid artery

LOVE this doctor. However, the staff is terrible NO ONE answers the phone EVER I had a test in November, still have no results. I have called numerous times. In fact, I am on hold now and have been for over 10 minutes. I am going to have to change doctors just because their staff is so awful. When they finally answer, if they do, they will tell me how busy they are. This is what they say everytime. PLUS I have to listen to their ridiculous music and advertising which is so streessful
Dr. Plaisance explains every procedure, expected outcome and long range plans. Dr. Plaisance was my husband admitting Cardiologist, during an extended hospital stay Dr. Plaisance was always caring,honest,took the time to answer all questions and even show concern for family staying long emotional hours. My husband passed away during that stay, Dr. Plaisance stayed with our family the last hour, he prayed for us and with us, held our hand and eased our mind in knowing he received excellent care.
He really cares about his patients and takes the time to answer questions.
Kind attention to my questions, a confident recommendation for treatments, prompt appointments, competent, friendly staff, and professional and calm office atmosphere.

My only criticism is that after having told Dr. Plaisance that I was on social security and Medicare, I was prescribed a blood pressure medication that would cost me $400 a month. Needless to say, I refused the medication at the pharmacy. Upon my next trip to my primary care physician, a call was made to his office, and a new and less costly medicine was prescribed.
