Negative stars!!!!! This apartment will NOT give your deposit back!!!! Plain and simple. It is a nasty apartment and when your year is up you're very ready to go. Problem is Lauren, the apartment manager/crook avoids you and your calls and you will never see your money again. If you're stuck renting from these crooks my advice is don't pay the last months rent. Then at least you can call it even
Warning Do not rent!! The apartments are not well kept ,very dirty, old carpet,leaking toilet, Lauren is an absolutely terrible manager. They will not return security deposit. My stepdaughter a Wayne State student,lived there for a year, when lease was up our security deposit $520 was never refunded. No violations or damages to apartment. RANK MINUS 10 STARS!!! Bug infestations No resolution Holding security deposit Owner Absence and Ignorance We were told upon moving out of this bug infested, poorly managed, completely absent owner, building issues ignored complex, that the owner is a retired Tiger Baseball player who bought this for an investment. Dump! Poor Management If I could not even choose a star I would. Beware! Manager Lauren never answers or returns calls. The building is infested with bed bugs and cock roaches. They DO NOT treat it effectively. Had to throw away $4000 worth of new furniture and accessories because of this place.
Be careful! I lived 4 years in Belcrest when I moved to California, the apartment manager told me we send you security deposit check back by mail. She never does that and when I came back to Detroit after 5 months, she denied to pay my cheque and said go to the court. why? "because we like and there is no reason". Be careful! she is a real thief.
Belcrest Poor performance all around. It takes months to get important things fixed and by the time they show it's not likely they'll fix the problem, but more likely they'll cover the issue up with cheap temporary fixes. had a leak. they plastered over it, but didn't fix or replace the pipes. I'm no genius, but that's necessary right? The leakage returned and soaked through their cheap plaster and now I'm dealing with an even bigger hole. This is only the tip of the glacier that is Belcrest's failures.
