Horrible experience with emergency. No consult or results explained to patient. Just tests and sent home with a sorry we can’t keep you here even thought you have COVID Pneumonia 😩 no IV not even a glass a water. But I’m sure the bill will be outrageous. So sad. Very disappointing. God help us all.
RecommendedI’m a cancer patient currently undergoing chemo. Last week my temp spiked to 102 and I had other complications; my oncologist told me to go to ER. EVERYONE in ER was awesome helping me quickly get the care and treatment I needed. I had to stay a week at the hospital and I was completely thankful for all my wonderful caregivers. THANK YOU all!!
RecommendedWe caught up recently with my husbands PA’s from his 30 day hospital stay (non-Covid neurosurgery patient during March-April). These women were life-lines to both of us. Texting and FaceTiming with their own phones when he wasn’t able to. Being excellent, caring professionals, a link between us and our wonderful Dr. Matthew Dashnaw. For all those days we were apart, I was grateful my husband was in such good hands.
The ER restrooms were filthy like a gas station with urine on the floor... It was horrible! The staff were friendly but you could tell they didn’t want to be there either. I think they have upper management problems.
No notification was given that walk-ins are NO LONGER being taken. Website says hospital is taking walk-ins. UNTIL you get there and are turned away.
Troy Beaumont ER will act only according to their protocol, even if your personal physician orders specific tests in advance of your arrival. If you should be going in for Covid testing be prepared for an hour and a half to two hour wait in a tent without being seen. This is because there are no available beds....this is because if you have any of the 100 + symptoms that “could be Covid” you will be tested for Covid plus any of the other battery of tests they choose. Two words: flies everywhere
Had to take my 86 year old mother into emergency Wednesday night and she waited with my sister for 4 hours in a chair in The waiting room, feeling nauseous and faint, but they did nothing. There was 1 particular nurse that had a serious attitude and was very abrupt and disrespectful to my mother when my sister told her she needs to lay down she’s feeling faint. She Told my mother I think you’re having a panic attack. She’s never had one before In Her life but the just snarled and said that’s what she thought. Wild it matter?... read more
