I just changed my PCP to Dr. Konopka. My first visit was today and I must say that it was a great experience starting with the staff, Alexandra and Monique. His medical assistant, Juan, was also pleasant and welcoming. Dr. Konopka was extremely professional yet warm and compassionate and all my angst I had from my previous PCP was lifted 🙌🏻. I finally found the perfect fit for me and after I told my partner about my experience he said he was going to change his pcp as well to Dr. Konopka. Win win.
I was referred to Dr. Konopka by my in- laws about a year ago. I visited only once for a wellness check and that visit was pleasant. I called today- no one answered but I was instructed to leave a voicemail and so I did. Within an hour someone from his office called me back and I now have my next appointment for tomorrow.
Been a patient for 10 years and unfortunately will have to look for another primary care provider. Dr. Bilasano has always been wonderful but the office management/ front desk is awful. Hard to get anyone on the phone, and when you do you will be left on hold then sent to voicemail and no one will call back. In addition, they are charging money over the co payment under the guise deductibles that are completely bogus as verified by my insurance. It is a shame to see the decline of this office.
A Dr is only as good as the office staff that serves its patients. With that being said, getting a call back or a response to an email is pretty much non existent. Will have to look to another office for this reason alone.
