The late night/early morning staff is WONDERFUL! Everyone was extremely helpful and comforting. They were also very thorough. I came into the ER in extreme pain due to misdiagnosed strep (by a different dr) and I left feeling so much better. Not only could I swallow liquids finally, I could eat!

I don't know if any of the ER or Pediatric staff is still there from the early days, but I just want to say thank you. I had severe asthma as a child which required frequent trips to the ER and stays in the hospital. What could have been a very scary experience for child was made better by the most amazing staff. Everyone was always so kind and gracious, I was always made to feel at home. One year I was hospitalized on Christmas and they removed my IV tubes and let me go home for a few hours to open presents. This a great facility, but stay away from partner offices in Sachse and Wylie, they will miss medicate or charge you a ridiculous charge, Dennis McWain in Sachse, dmcwainaolcom

I chose Lake Pointe because my husband had a stay a year ago and he experienced great care. I'm here now and it's as if I'm at a completely different hospital. It took 4 hours, and a slew of excuses, to get my antibiotics going. The nurses are not friendly and seem disconnected from their job and willingness to help. They consistently pass the buck to the next person so they don't have to deal. I have surgery in the morning, otherwise I'd leave and find a better hospital.

I was SUPER upset with the way one of the nurses in the NICU was treating the newborn babies! I have heard babies cry before but I have never heard a baby scream the way she made these two babies scream, it was heartbreaking. She was definitely angry and frustatred because two other nurses even came in and asked her is she was ok. She needs to be fired because talking to her will not make her care about the babies any more. OK so I've been all over this hospital in the past 2 weeks! A little over a week ago I had my baby girl here. I rate that experience a 3. I love the private rooms but the chair they make the dads sleep in recovery is horrible and they refused to switch it after they had told me the night b4 they would. On the other hand a nurse found me like 10 pillows to make a mattress out of them it worked OK :). Labor was long and I feel I wasn't a priority which is why I ended up with an emergency C section. My father was in the hospital for two weeks. Nurses on his floor were incredible (2nd floor) and Catering/Dining staff were very patient and helpful in making the right food choices. Must give a shout out to Mama Linda, Sheri, Kristi, Robert,Tina and Ryan and Lashika in catering.
