Very amazing place. Amazing people as far as staff. All staff are there for you not just there for a job. They all have caring hearts for the patients they care for. I am leaving soon and they have helped so much. Amazing is all I can say. Room 318 moved to room 323.
I have a heart for this place and left a piece of my heart there many years ago! I worked there as an occupational therapist from 1993 - 1995. So many good memories of patients, families, and co-workers! I was always so proud to say I worked at BIR and still am proud that I did!
BIR IS FANTASTiC!! I had a TBI in May of 2010 was at BIR Til August!! The Staff & Doctors, Nurses & Therapist are AWESOME!!! GOD used each of them to get me back to my normal life!! BIR was GREAT as far as keeping my wife, parents & twin brother informed of my progress!! I will give BIR a EXCELLENT rating!! I now play drums for Friends of HOPE!! Sincerely, Aaron Hammock
Each one of BIR's staff members has above-and-beyond devotion and dedication to taking care of each patient, working diligently with them in therapy sessions, and always being available for comments or questions to help them or their family along the journey of finding the "new norm'." Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation has give our family hope that our son Shawn will not only survive a traumatic brain injury but make a comeback to be himself again. When we arrived here Shawn was bedridden and just a few days ago he walked over 250 feet. He is becoming more independent every day. The physical, occupational , and speech therapy are totally outstanding. His physician Dr. Dubiel is by far the best doctor when it comes to treating all aspects of her patients health needs.
