It is a great experience so far, except I have a question. The hydromorphone given to me is only 1ml every 4 hours. The vials come in 2mg vials. Once you get the 1ml from the vial, your supposed to dispose of the vial that still has the remaining dilaudid. Should be thrown in sharps container. Well I personally watched this woman pocketing these vials when she thinks I wasn't looking. We took more than 4hrs to get checked...going 6hrs n still waiting. Unfriendly nurse's. My mum just travelled from Kenya n was suspecting she might have malaria. One of the nurse's asked if it was infectious...I told her no, it's spread by mosquitoes. She should know better than this...and she is a nurse practioner...she insisted to ask if she had been around people with malaria. Well,She clearly needs some retraining. If u r considering to go to DR this is a no go zone.
This hospital is truely disorganized. Im at the ER in the front and ask if it was okay to wait in the back where I was previously waiting for my medicine. I was told it was fine so I go to the back. As soon as the nurse practiciner sees me I mention to her im waithing for the medicine I was told I would get an hr ago she call the security to escort me to the front. This is insane and humiliating. People be warned you will be waithing several hours before a Doctor sees you. I highly reccomend you go to a different hospital.
The staff at Baylor are amazing!! They are very polite, caring, and professional. I appreciate their support and patience as I am recovering from surgery

They took great care of me during my Tonsillectomy. Very nice and talked me through the whole process. Explained everything as it was happening. Definitely recommend!
