Great store We initially went into this jeweler because it was open late. The sales staff is very nice and very approachable.They take their time with you and are not pushy at all.
Don't go here Do not go here. While I was in the store I heard them talking about putting up fake ratings online which makes sense since after reading other reviews and talking to other people in the area, they have lots of complaints. I have a complaint - the ring I supposedly ordered was not the right one. When they finally got hte right one (after my wedding, i got married with a chheap replacement band), the diamond fell out. great rocks! i was looking for a really special anniversary ring for my wife to go around her engagement ring...you only get a 20th anniversary once, and i wanted it to be something really nice...the consultants at barsky's were able to listen to me as i described her diamond and setting, and show me some jewelry that they thought was in the style that i had described...the experts there are indeed that; my wife was absolutely thrilled with my selection...it told her how i would marry her all over again... Beautiful Diamonds I was referred to Barsky Diamond Importers & Cutters by a close friend of mine. I wanted to get custom made diamond earrings and since they can cut diamonds customly, I chose them. The results came out great! I also found a beautiful fire opal here and I purchased that. The prices and selection here are great! I received great service as well. They are opened daily, with different hours and accept most major credit cards.
disappointment I visited Barsky today and was treated in a condescending manner once I revealed I was looking to spend *only* $5,000. I thought this funny since the salesman was wearing an ill-fitting suit with black sneakers. Yes, sneakers. This salesman was also extremely pushy, resulting in an unprofessional manner. You wont be sorry! A+ Barsky Diamonds has been setting the standard for other jewelry stores for the past 100 plus years. They have such a huge selection! They helped me pick the perfect ring and beat all other stores prices that i was looking at by fractions! Don't waste your time with other jewelry stores, just go straight to Barsky's. Everyone who i encountered while I was there was more then pleasant even though I didn't have a lot to spend. They were willing to work with me on any budget. Recommended times ten!
Lindsey D. After shopping for engagement rings for several days Barsky Diamonds had the best selection. Chris was able to help me figure out what I wanted. After a mistake they took all the time needed to fix the problem. They even give coupons for free parking in the appropriate lot. Once we bought the wedding band we had ordered the wrong size and they replaced the ring with the correct size for free.
Pitiful and Pathetic Where do I start? I have been married for a year and a half. Twice already my wedding band (pave style and purchased at Barsky's in October 2008) has lost diamonds. TWICE. Meanwhile, my engagement ring which is also pave style but bought from a reputable diamond store and in early 2007 has never once, I repeat, NEVER lost a diamond or "been banged up by me." NEVER AGAIN! I will NEVER step foot in Barsky's again!!! Their quality of jewerly is AWFUL! The first engagment ring my fiancee bought from there was defected. The gold was weak, the prongs were crooked, and some diamonds were loose in their setting. I returned it after wearing it for just one week only to have the salesman belittle me and make me feel like it was my fault the ring was defected.
