Before surgery I was in a great deal of pain and discomfort. On day of making the decision to have my knee replacement surgery Dr Henry walked me through the procedure and how my recovery would go and everything went exactly as explained to me. Following the surgery he and his staff were amazing in making sure that everything I needed was taken care of in a very timely manner. My 1st visit with Dr Henry in Lafayette was after a dr in Lake Charles did incorrect procedure causing loss in confidence in drs as well as several additional issues originally had. After my 1st visit with Dr Henry I felt there was some hope. I had a great experience with Dr. Barry Henry, and his team of physical therapists. They were very professional, caring, and knowledgeable. They helped me recover from a knee injury that I sustained while preparing for a bodybuilding competition. They explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. After doing much research to find a good trustworthy doctor for my elbow pain, I chose Dr. Henry. I followed his guidance that moving the ulnar nerve in my elbow would solve the elbow pain. You would think an orthopedic doctor would know that arm pain could be from problems with the spine and refer me to spine specialist to make sure the pain source; especially since my paperwork told of 2 whiplashes. The entire staff along with Dr. Henry are genuinely concerned with the patients care and recovery. They followed up with me following surgery to make certain that I was doing ok and checking if there was anything needed. they were just as excited as I was to see the progress following surgery. Dr. Henry is highly recommended.
The staff and nurses were great. Very caring and compassionate. Dr Barry was also great answered all questions and was also caring and compassionate. He was also very informative and willing to take the time to go over xrays and explain everything unlike most doctors now days who don't want to be bothered
Dr. Henry has treated me for several issues and each one was a complete success. He sits and talks with you and treats you as a partner in your treatment plan. He explains all of your options and helps you make the best decision for yourself. His knowledge and bedside manner are impeccable. I would definitely recommend him. He and his staff are amazing to be around.
