Dr. Woods performed laminectomy and fusion surgery on my back 6 weeks ago. My experience both before and after surgery was exceptional. Dr. Woods was very honest and reassuring when discussing my options for treatment. We decided that surgery was my best option after physical therapy and 3 injections. After my surgery (4-1/2 hrs), Dr. Woods came to see me before he left the hospital that evening. He explained the intensity of my surgery and what to expect for recovery. Loved my experience!

Dr. Woods is a miracle worker! He performed surgery on my spine and was so caring and thorough throughout the entire process. I cannot say enough kind words about his professionalism, knowledge of my issue and care and compassion for ensuring that I was going to heal properly! He is absolutely amazing and I would refer him a million times over. I had a pretty significant herniation and he was there for me to help me through my pain and provide a personalized care plan that met my needs.
Dr. Woods is a caring and compassionate surgeon. He performed spinal surgery on my lumbar region and cervical surgery on my husband and mother-in-law. All of us feel the same way about Dr. Woods. He's a wonderful and gifted surgeon who performed a miracle that gave us our lives back.
Dr. Woods performed an anterior cervical diskectomy & fusion (ACDF) on Aug. 9, 2018 and the results have been extraordinarily good, even as soon as today (8/27). Surgery was made more complicated by my severe COPD and my weight: 84 lbs. - my pulmonologist advised Dr. Woods that I was high risk and Dr. Woods took every possible precaution that could be taken by having extra personnel and equipment at the ready if I had breathing difficulty during surgery. He is The Best and he is my hero.
I was extremely pleased with Dr. Woods from my first appointment with him. He took time to explain my problem & his recommendation for treatment/surgery. I went back to him 4 mos later, decided on surgery, again he took time to make sure I understood & was very re-assuring that surgery would go well. He gave me his cell number and called me back immediately! Surgery went well; I am feeling much better as surgery relieved the pain in my arms, hands & even hip area. I highly recommend Dr. Woods!
If there is a class for all doctors to take it should be "Bedside manor taught by Professor Barrett Woods" . Dr. Woods makes you feel comfortable, welcome and at ease during appointments and prior to surgery. Dr. Woods explained everything in detail, answered every question that we had and finally performed a micro disectomy on me. He was great, staff was great, but most of all , I feel great. I have already recommended other candidates to him. Thanks for an awesome outcome.
I was referred to Dr. Woods after being treated for almost two years of back and forth with other doctors. On my first visit With Dr. Woods, he ordered a test and reviewed it with me and explained what was going on. We discussed the corrective procedures and surgery. He answered all my questions and I felt very comfortable with him. He is straight forward and very quick with responses and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Woods provided his cell phone number for any further concerns. Awesome!
I had spinal reconstruction surgery that involved both anterior and posterior surgeries. The entire procedure required replacement of the discs, rods and screws. The surgery took 10.5 hours and Dr. Woods did an outstanding job. He followed up on a daily basis checking my progress. He was always available to answer all my questions and calm my fears. He even gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to call him whenever I had an issue. How many doctors do that???? He is the best!
