I always order the same thing. Beans with green chile. Side of chicharrones. Delicious.
3 stars out of 5 Although Barelas Coffee House is generally regarded as an Albuquerque Treasure by non-foodies and a few foodies alike, it is not by me. Better versions of each dish that The Dazzler and I sampled are available in many other restaurants. So, what draws customers to this place? This is a funky place with great service and hordes of loyal regulars: homeless, lawyers, and politicians. There can be long lines outside around noon. I don't think it's worth the wait.
Excellent food, large portion size, and very affordable.
Good food and staff and check out the gift shop !!
