About this business
This large and spacious white brick-walled restaurant is located in the meatpacking district of New York. With garage-style doors, cafe chairs, and an open kitchen, it has a very minimalist look but is comfortable nonetheless. Barbuto offers outdoor seating during Spring, so you can enjoy the open air while you munch away. The menu, which features regular Italian fare like pastas, antipasti and the like, changes everyday. Chef Jonathan Waxman is very particular about using the freshest of ingredients available.

RecommendedIt was amazing! The whole meal was delicious. Especially the Kale Salad, burrata bruschetta, bucatini carbonara and the lemon pistachio torta. Jonathan Waxman came into the restaurant and was extremely kind and welcoming and even allowed me to snap a picture with him. It was a wonderful experience and a wonderful new location directly overlooking the Hudson River.
Every time I go I tell myself I’ll try something new, but I always get the roast chicken and crispy potatoes because no one does them better.

Amazing food and service. A shame they have to close due to property owners no longer wanting a restaurant I their space. They will find a new place before the end of the year and we will be there as well! A wonderful relaxing atmosphere with excellent dining and cocktails!
