I've been an enthusiastic member of the Barbershop Harmony Society since 1991! The music, the camaraderie, the support of the leadership are all fantastic!
More fun than a guy should be allowed to have. Wish I'd found these guys sooner.
I first heard about b-shop in 1963, but didn't join until much later (Hartford's famous Insurance City Chorus). Like so many others, I wish I'd done it when I first knew of it! Now COPD and a stroke and other stuff limits me to going to shows and appreciating the great quartets and choruses in our New England area!
Started in the 1970's after see the White Rose BH from Leeds. First event was Prelims at a Theatre in Newcastle on Tyne. Trying to establish a Chorus in Angus, Scotland. Have visited Granite City Chorus a couple of times & a group in Perth. Looking for a learning disc for Sally
