For sure the best acapella society around. I'm very happy to be part of this magnificent organization.
I was introduced to Barbershop in 1994, when an "old" guy named Bob Price (about 75 at the time), came and knocked on my door. I learned My Wild Irish Rose with the Santa Monica Oceanaires, and when the "rose" chord rang, that was it. Hooked for life! I was introduced to my amazing wife, Melissa, by the tenor of my first quartet. Needless to say, 23 years later, this hobby is still the backbone of my life, and I hope to be singing till I can't anymore!! Great friends, lots of amazing memories!
Singing, especially in harmony, gives me a feeling of accomplishment and I have been enjoying this activity for 50+ years, and still am enjoying it "to the max".
The Barbershop Harmony Society has been instrumental in shaping the person I am today. If not for the love and friendship of the members shared with me, my life would be incomplete. Barbershop is more than just singing music. It's a lifestyle, and I can't imagine my life without it. That is why I'm a proud member of the BHS and an active leader in choruses in my area. Keep the whole world singing!
