Finally got into it in 2002 after being gently recruited for 10 yrs. by my great friend, Jere Richardson, may he RIP. And I've enjoyed the roller coaster ever since. My only regret is not discovering it decades ago. It's given me a marvellous source of inspiration, a wonderful sense of community, and a great creative outlet!
Found Barbershop singing late in life (age 57+); has been a major part of my life for the last 10 years...........the singing, the friendships, ..... the beer (lol).
