My buddy Duane McCarter invited me to my first chapter meeting after I'd known him at another singing organization for six years! Wish I'd known it existed sooner.
I learned about the Barbershop Harmony Society from my dad who had been invited by a church member. At the time I was 22 years old. I have been a member ever since (20 years). I only wish I knew about it when I was younger as I learned later their was a chapter just a few miles down the road from my high school. The Barbershop Harmony Society has enriched my life through singing and lifetime comradery.
