About a week ago I had to say goodbye to my little friend bubba. It was the hardest to do. The staff at Banfield in Jacksonville were the most sweet and caring people. Dr. Carr did everything she could to help bubba, and Kristen was the best Vet nurse that someone can ask for; however there was not much to do for him. I am very thankful for how they helped me, how much they cared and how good they were to me and bubba. If you have any doubts about this place I hope that this helped you see how amazing they are.

Banfield has been our go-to vet for years now. They're all over the place and the wellness plan our cat is on helps financially and him, since he's getting older and more susceptible to illnesses. However, we had an appointment for him at 1500 and we have been sitting here for 20 minutes past his scheduled appointment. The nurses are all just sitting up front talking looking busy but not calling us back. What the heck???

They only care about money. They don't care about the dogs/pets. They would rather a dog suffer than take 5 minutes of their time to look at the dog and prescribe an antibiotic. They refused to see a dog we took that had a terrible skin infection and just needed some meds. They turned her away because she wasn't an emergency. Then told us to go to the emergency clinic. If its not an emergency then why would we take her to an EMERGENCY clinic. It literally would have taken 5 minutes to help this dog, but they don't care. Like... read more

So upset! I go to the vet on Camp Lejeune and they are amazing, but they don’t spay or neuter. I took my puppy to Banefield and they butchered her! AND to add insult to injury, they charged me $405 for their hack job on my 4 lb puppy. I was distracted with how much the staff was gushing over how much they loved her and left in a hurry. As soon as I got home I looked at her incision site and wanted to cry. They used layed sutures up to the surface, which I expected, and then it looks like they bunched up her skin and glued ev... read more

They were able to fit our 7 month puppy in when he had an allergic reaction and our normal vet couldn't fit him in anytime soon. Everyone was helpful, reassuring, and super friendly! We'd continue going to them if we didn't normally go on base!

I am canceling all 3 of my dogs wellness plans. More and more they have become interested only in money and their vets can't agree on what services are more important but every time you go in they want you to spend money on just testing. If you want a provider that is interested in your pet and not getting every penny they can I would not suggest Banfield Pet Hospital.
