RecommendedLove the adult classes at Balance Dance Studios!!
I love the classes here! They are more challenging than your average class at the gym, but easy enough to pick up the moves. The teachers do a great job of breaking down the counts to help you get the choreography just right. Very friendly people here!
Welcoming space for dancers of any sort...truly a community asset, considering the lack of dancing space for NIA, ecstatic dance, meditative movement. There are children’s classes here as well, but Balance provides resource for ALL DANCING that isn’t *partner*.
Absolutely love this amazing community of dancers! Andi Loo's Body Beats class is the most fun you will have exercising EVER!!
It was hard for me to find any pro league prep/ adult hip hop classes in Austin after I moved here from Dallas (where I could go to classes every night to prepare for Semi Pro dance teams.) And then I found Balance,which has some of my favorite past dance teachers as instructors, and lots of team programs like Diva Dance, Lady Vipers and other performance groups. If you're in your 20s, this is one of the best places to start training!
Love this studio! They have so many awesome adult classes for all levels. My personal favorite to get a good work out in and feel a little sassy is Body Beats!
