This rating does not not reflect on the quantity or quality of the care by this ministry; rather it is a protest of the fact that 'mental health' & 'addictions' are included in the same ministry. Canadians with mental health issues must have a dedicated ministry that is completely separate from a 'drug addicts ministry'. This will ensure that people with mental health issues only, receive the levels of care that they require without their care being muddled or slowed by the burden of those with drug addictions.
Their own brochure says they accept self referrals for the MHSU Intake. Calling in an attempt todo so revealed that to be a lie. Receptionist wasn’t helpful.
