This is absolutely THE WORST car rental company I have ever encountered. I rented a car in San Francisco and was double charged by Avis. The morning after my rental, we walked out to find a flat tire. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with customer service and ended up having to use my AAA to have the tire repaired. So, I was stranded at a California hotel 2,000 miles from home and Avis was not able to assist. Would like to warn anyone that may have thought about using Avis-15747 Hall Rd, Macomb, MI 48044-DO NOT USE AVIS!!! I had a horrible experience with them. I rented a van back in June of 2020-YEP, LAST YEAR-the first thing was the pick up time got "mixed up" they said and I waited 3 hours to pick it up.....upon dropping the van back off they say "we look over the vehicles head to toe, top to bottom before renting to the next customer" which they DO NOT!! They charged my card $450.00 for heavy smoke which I know is a lie. I don't smoke and I have little kids. My car is broke down reason why I got the car. I had them send me evidence and when given the pictures I feel are a joke I even see my son's formula in there that I believe there trying to say is ash. It's COVID so I'm out of a job currently cause daycares are open like that so that 450 they just took from my family that I feel are false really hurt. We booked through ********* and prepaid for the rental. Come to find out when my husband picked up the car she had him sign waivers not knowing it would be an ADDITIONAL $354 but she was sure to tell him the car could come back totaled and we were covered. But now 15 days after the car was returned they are charging ANOTHER $450 for dirt/sand in the vehicle, yes I've seen the pictures and it is not close to "excessive heavy" dirt. I rented a car to go from NY to TN. When I drive away with the car on the dashboard I got a message saying that the right front tire was low on air. I told the guy at the front desk that I got that message and he said that the car was inspected and to ignore the message on dashboard. Well, in the middle of a highway in PA the tired got a flat on the side of the tire. Obviously the tire was not good when I picked up the car. And it was definitely not inspected at all. I want to strongly encourage everyone to never use Avis car rental. I have had the worst customer service experience with them, and I do not want anyone else to have to go through this. Last month, my flight was diverted to Richmond, Virginia, and after waiting there most of the day, I decided to rent a car and drive back to Lynchburg. If I could give 0 stars I would. My wife and I flew to Las Vegas to start a vacation to the National Parks of Utah. I opted to rent from this location because I always find that renting from locations outside of the airport end up in fewer taxes and fees. Our pickup time to the car is 1130pm at the Orlando airport and it is now 216am in the morning I'm still in the line. I still have a reservation at Disney world but don't really think I can make it as the line is still long my time to go to the hotel is unknown! Can't believe it takes more than 3 hours to get a rental car that has been booked online with all the driver info collected! Due to the spring break I even paid way more than usual for a crappy car but takes forever to check in!

Was unable to reach a supervisor to tell anyone my concerns. No one at corporate office to talk to either. I was degraded by a sales agent on the telephone. Horrible. There is no way to rectify it.
