RecommendedI’ve brought all three of my ferrets in here for check ups and vaccinations. The staff are very kind and are always eager to work with my ferrets! Absolutely the best place ever! I was scared to take our tortoises in but it was amazing. The staff is so warm and welcoming and so earger to work with you! After 2 weeks of our Blazer being sick (you all are like animal whisperers) but she woke up this morning hot her eye drops and started EATING!! Yay! And little Harzard is strutting around. Thank you all for your warm welcome, and healing touches on our precious animals!
I was a nervous mess taking my sweet Edgar Allen "Poe" in today for his first checkup. It went so smoothly. The gals that looked over Poe KNEW what they were doing. All so full of knowledge, tips and encouragement. The place looked clean, had plenty of parking and I was completely comfortable. I left feeling like an empowered bunny owner. Yes, the bill was high, but as to be expected with an exotic pet. I came prepared and even got info on possible future boarding of my little guy. Thank you so much for taking care of our Panther Chameleon Greenie. We were leaving on a trip the next day when Greenie got sick. You were able get him in to be seen and then nursed him back to health for us while we were gone. It felt wonderful knowing he was in great hands.
The doctors at Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care were thorough, kind and reasonably priced. Great experience. I would definitely recommend them. Unfortunately, my parakeet definitely has an infection. He’s on antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication for the next 6 days. My poor little guy. �
So glad we finally have reputable, highly trained Avian care! We've only had one in so far, but were very impressed with their handling, care, and information! The rest of my flock will be going to Dr. Harrenstien as well from now on!
If you have a need for an exotic vet here in Portland I highly recommend Avian and Exotic Veterinary Care! Dr. Harrenstien and her staff treated my pigs like ther own pets and gave them plenty of time to feel comfortable and safe during their exams. ��
