My truck went in for the steering column to be fixed and for engine and tranny pan gaskets to be replaced. I had also asked them to go over the gauges and fix any other oil leaks. Got the truck back steering column still wiggled cause they only tightened 2 bolts because the others that needed replacing were "too hard to get too". The engine still leaked a little oil so I just continued to check it and put some in. My husband just walked in this place and he was greeted by a rude old lady with a bad attitude! She was rude through out the entire conversation. Turn OFF! just because of her first impression we have decided to bring our business some place that is more welcoming.
I have been to Avery Brothers for a number of years had a engine replaced because the original engine had a ford motor company defect. With labor and the engine with around 50,000 miles it cost me around 2000 dollars for the time and labor work to get this engine out and put the other one in.I have had no engine problems with the replacement since .The work was done well and I would say if you have a car problem they will give you an honest price and not try and rip you off like some places do.It never hurts to ask for a goo... read more
I am new to Wallingford and was looking for an honest, fair priced mechanic; very glad to say that I've found one in Avery Brothers. I brought both of our vehicles to the shop to have inspections done for licensing; the work was done very quickly with virtually no wait-time.
