I reached out to Avalon Sexual Assault Center because some recent events and my experiences with Nova Scotia Mental Health were triggering symptoms of PTSD from childhood sexual abuse. I got linked with an empathic therapist who has helped me address the trauma that has been coming up and find ways to feel more safe today. An amazing place! I was very much helped and I attended some groups which were incredibly therapeutic. If you need help this is the place to be. Very calm and a safe space! I had some one on one as well which gave me some hope for myself. I have nothing but good things to say about this underfunded place in Halifax.
I need to do a project but the website is going in maintenance and now I have to scalp from other websites to find information. Thanks for nothing Avalon.
