Best haircuts of all time from Ricky – Finally, after living in Manhattan for 11 years, I have a hairdresser. Overall, the salon is lovely & relaxing. Fun place to get mani, pedi, and waxing/threading done as well. Though I live in Upstate Manhattan at 187th and B-way, I make the trip on the A train for service I can count on, a great haircut, and friendly folks. Thank you, Ricky!
Saver – I had my hair done in this other place where they dyed my hair into three different colors. My hair color was a mess and so was my cut. I came into Avalon for help and Monika decided to help me. She did an amazing job and competely tranformed my hair. She fixed my color so now it was only on color on my head and cut my hair to a trendy very chic cut. Great Staff – I was referred to Avalon by a co-worker and called to make an appointment. My friend told me to make an appointment with her stylist but I couldn't get in with him because my time was pretty limited. The receptionist Leanne was really nice, she asked me what my hair was like and booked me with someone who was good with my type of hair. I saw Dora and had a really great cut. I'll definitely go back and refer my friends!
Best Spray Tan in Town. – I was looking to get a spray tan. My friend turned me into a Avalon fan. She was bronze and looked so natural. I went and had the most amazing spray tan.I used to use those booths, they always made me a little to orange. The woman customized it for my skin color and I walked out looking amazing. I was treated great there. They are friendly and fun. I recommend anyone a spray tan at Avalon.
TOM IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! – I have been going to Tom for over two years and I will never go anywhere else! He is by far the best stylist in the world!!!! Every time I go, I leave looking fabulous! Thanks Tom!!
You've found your stylist – In the past I bounced around from haircut place to haircut place, from uzbeki barbers to high-faluting prima donnas but it wasnt until I was referred by a friend to Deborah that I finally found my special hair someone. Consistantly Great Haircuts (Ask for Tom!) – I've been going to Avalon for nearly 10 years and have been going exclusively to Tom for haircuts for the past 3 or so years. He does a great job and gives a lasting haircut that looks great even when I do it myself (with minimal effort on my part). In addition to being a great stylist, he's also a really fun guy and a pleasure to chat with while getting my hair cut. I highly recommend him in particular and Avalon in general.
Deborah Novick is a Hair Sensie – I started going to Deborah Novick 6 years ago when we were both living in Austin, Texas. I was so sad when she moved to New York and left me in Austin to find someone else who could cut my hair. TOM IS THE BOM(B) – I've been getting my hair done by the fabulous Tom Mantel for the past few years.
